A facelift refurbishment and modernisation of living spaces to a bland 60’s property, this home extension required comprehensive architectural design services including gaining planning permission. WHAT WAS THE BRIEF?
A fiddly little project with limited garden space and an array of small extensions clustered the dated appearance of the host dwelling. The client aspired to create a more spacious kitchen / dining area with more natural access to the garden and outdoor pool. We were also challenged to give the property a facelift and create a fresher, more contemporary character.
OUR SOLUTION
A ground floor extension connecting the existing conservatory and side extension, combined with some internal alterations provides an elegant inside/outside link with the garden which creates the effect of both areas feeling larger and more spacious. Sumptuous cedar cladding, plenty of glass and strikes of dark grey frames and fascias transform the old façade into a stylish yet tranquil space.
